Put a limit on typing after 140 chars under review

I see that the tweet gets truncated if char count exceeds 140. Is there a way to let us know that the 140 count has reached? Can something like blinking the dialog box be done if this limit is reached? or use a down-counter display at the bottom like on twitter?

(nature of) JS prompts doesn't let you have much control on what you type in them however it is still possible to check whether it exceeds 140 chars or not right after you submit your entry. But what to do next if it exceeds the limit? Would you like to edit your entry in the text box?

    add a favicon planned

so its not so bugly in my bookmark bar

It would be fantastic to get designer help for Twitlet favicon. I am terrible at designing for 16x16 pixels. Any volunteers?

Focus automatically jumpt to text entry field under review

As soon as I select the Twitlet bookmarklet, I'd like to be able to start typing without first manually selecting the text entry field. I'd like the focus to jump to that field automatically.

Again, outstanding work with this neat tool.

In my browser, Safari, text box is behaving exactly the way you want it to be. I guess this is a browser issue and technically it may not be possible to force it to have this functionality.

Enter status message directly in the address bar under review

What about a allowing to type "twitlet Status message" directly from the address bar, like with keyword searches?
Popup only if Status is omitted.

This would be fantastic! Would you contribute to implement this feature?

JS prompt too limiting, why not use a form with layer popup?

This would be much easier and allow for much more customisation, including counting letters.

preview the tweet before it posts

Allow us to preview the tweet before it posts, so we have the chance to correct any misuse of twitlet # commands or other misspellings, etc.

Add the link title easily. planned

I think you should make #title paste in the title of the current page. I love the bookmarklet but I think this is would be very useful.

Added to to-do list. But do not expect it too soon.

Automatic redirection to Twitter.com after sending Tweet

After submitting a Tweet, I'd luck the current webpage to automatically refresh to Twitter.com.

You could make this a stored user preference if there was a risk of some users not wanting this behaviour.

Twitlet ignores manually-pasted short URLs from other sites. planned

I tried to paste a URL from http://tinyurl.com and Twitlet posted my tweet, minus the URL. In one case, it even converted it to a different URL and inserted that instead. Why?

hmmm i think i know what you're talking about. you've found a bug :) will be fixed soon. thank you!
